STUDIO POLICIES
SCHEDULING
Private and group lessons throughout the year.
Lessons scheduled Monday thru Thursday.
MATERIALS
Materials are provided by the teacher and paid in the fees --
Instruction books, assignment book,
yearly Study Guide with materials for the current level of study.
Student should use a book bag for materials.
PRACTICING
Goals are set for the year.
Mini-goals are set at each lesson.
Checkpoints help the student know how they are doing.
Techniques are given on the best way to achieve their goals.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES AND CHECKUP TIMES
Three recitals -- December, March and May when possible.
Participation by invitation in:
Student Achievement Test -
yearly certificates and trophies every two years
National Guild Auditions -
yearly certificates and pins
Additional awards given in May:

Music Teachers National Assn Music Study Award
Music Teachers National Assn Achievement Award
FEES
Paid by the month in advance.
Fees include Lessons, Book Deposit, and Activities Deposit
paid in 8 payments.
Unused deposits are applied to lessons fees toward end of year.
Summer fees are based on number of lessons.
Fall reservation fee paid in spring.

Northern Michigan University classes in piano pedagogy and education
Saginaw Valley State University - piano classes
State Certified by MMTA in 1987, renewed in 1995, 2000, permanent certificate in 2005
Nationally certified by MTNA in 1990 in piano and music education,
renewed in 1995, 2000, permanent certificate in 2005
Students have participated in piano events since 1981.
